Looking Back on New Year Resolutions

by Cerro Coso Library on 2025-01-01T08:02:00-08:00 in Library | 0 Comments

Do you remember our New Year's resolution from last year? Let's see how we did!

Resolution 1: Digitize 25 New Textbooks this year.

We digitized 63 textbooks in 2024!

We passed our goal twice over! You can find all of our digitized textbooks and eBooks in the Online Textbooks section of the library search.

Resolution 2: Hold 25 Library Workshops in 2024.

We held 44 library workshops in 2024!

You can register for library workshops by clicking the link to Canvas on our Library Workshops page. Workshops are held on Zoom and last about an hour. Each covers a specific topic such as APA citations, finding scholarly sources, and avoiding plagiarism. We even hold workshops in Spanish!

Resolution 3: Add 600 New Books to the Library in the next 12 months.

We added over 650 new books to the library in 2024!

Not too shabby! You can check out our New Materials at the Library guide or New Items at the Library list, which are updated each semester. You can also search the library for newly added materials by using the "New Records" filter to specify "New from Last Month" or "New from Last Week."

Not to toot our own horn too loudly (this is a library, after all), but we're pretty proud of what we accomplished in 2024!

Resolutions for 2025

For 2025, our goals are to increase our outreach on social media (at least 50 posts) and bring more interactive events into the library (at least 3).

To accomplish this, we need your input! What activities would you like to see at the library?
