It's that time of year again, when we all rush to finish those tasks we though we had plenty of time to work on! (No, that part of life never goes away completely. Sorry.)
If you are stressing about finals and term papers, don't forget that the library is here to help! Whether you need articles for your paper topic or citation help from a librarian, or you just need a quiet place to zone out for a few minutes, we have you covered! If you're on the Ridgecrest campus and need something to do with your hands while your brain digests your latest cram session, we have crayons, coloring pages, and a growing stack of puzzles with sizes ranging from 48 pieces to 350, depending on how much Zen time you need.
Did you have a chance to visit the puppies and kittens on campus this semester? (You better believe your library staff did!) Pets also have great benefits for mental health, such as decreasing stress hormones, improving blood pressure, and lowering rates of depression and loneliness. While we can't provide a kitten for every library study sessions (yet...), we can virtually share some photos of the library staff's furry friends. We hope these pictures of Carmelo, Rory, Billy, Cosmo, Jack, Puppet, Da Marcus, Harley Quinn, Bruce Wayne, and Maisie help boost your mental health today!
