Happy Open Education Week!

This year, join us in celebrating Open Education Week with some sweet rewards! Student Government and the library staff will be hosting an OER Taste Test on March 6th from 12:30- 2:00 in the IWV LRC lobby, where you can learn more about the Open Education Movement while enjoying a tasty treat. Also, keep an eye out for our "Save Money Selfie" station and "Thank an Instructor" card maker station in our newly renovated Makerspace area in the library!

Open Education Week, which runs from March 4th-8th this year, highlights the movement towards free educational resources. It encourages faculty in particular to examine free open source textbooks as a viable alternative to traditional pricey textbooks, which can save community college students thousands of dollars a year! For more information, visit our Open Educational Resources Guide or email Sharlene Paxton.
